It was another day where Indian bowlers dominated the game at Motera. Prasidh Krishna’s four wickets at 1.33 economy ensured India’s second win in the ODI series.

West Indies won the toss and bowled first at Motera. Windies bowlers did their job with accuracy and discipline such that all the Indian batters had a difficult time scoring.

Kohli and Pant managed to score at three runs per over after losing Rohit Sharma early to Roach in the third over. Odean Smith dismissed Pant, and Kohli in the 12th over to put India on the back foot.

West Indies bowlers then struck at regular intervals once they managed to run out KL Rahul for 49. They never allowed the Indian batsmen to go big in the last ten overs. India managed to reach 237 with the contribution from Washington Sundar and Deepak Hooda in the lower order.

West Indies started the chase well with Shai Hope and Brandon King adding 32 runs for the first wicket. Rohit Sharma introduced Prasidh Krishna into the attack which turned the game for India. He dismissed King and Bravo in his successive overs.

Brooks continued to fight at one end, but West Indies lost Captain Pooran Jason Holder and Fabien Allen without adding much to the scoreboard.
Hosein continued the fight, but the Indian bowler’s discipline didn’t let Windies in check.

Odean Smith’s little cameo of 24 was not enough to save West Indies. Washington Sundar dismissed him as West Indies lost the 9th wicket. Kemar Roach couldn’t open his account and lost his wicket to Prasidh Krishna.

West Indies fell short of the target by 44 runs. Prasidh was the pick of the bowlers with a magical spell of 9-3-12-4. Thakur picked up a couple of wickets. Siraj, Chahal, Hooda, and Sundar picked up one wicket each handing over India another bilateral series win.

The third and final ODI of the series will be played in Ahmedabad on 11th Feb.
