Children’s footwear brand, Pip & Henry, has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2023 collection, featuring sneakers, sandals and T-Bars.

Ranging between £55 and £69 and coming in children’s sizes UK 4 to 13, the brand’s shoes are made from premium quality, sustainable fabrics, designed with the environment in mind.

In fact, Pip & Henry was founded by a mum who wanted her little girl to grow up more mindfully in a better world. Driven by a love for the environment, the brand creates stylish, comfortable and responsibly-produced shoes for children.

“More than anything, we want kids to take their first steps in the world more mindfully,” said company Founder, Jeroo Doodhmal. “We want to make children aware of the challenges facing the planet, but in a positive way that inspires them to find ways they can help. Those values are at the core of everything we do in the business.

“Our vibrant children’s shoes are made from premium sustainable materials, such as organic cotton, pineapple leaf fibre, recycled rubber, and leathers from gold certified tanneries approved by the Leather Working Group (LWG).”

As part of its commitment to change, Pip & Henry has created characters which, through storybooks and games, make children more aware of the impact their daily choices have on the environment and help them feel empowered to drive change.

And in order to reduce waste caused by the fashion industry, as well as keep up with kids’ fast-growing feet, the company also offers a recycling service for shoes that have been outgrown. It’s a shoe recycling program where parents can send back their children’s outgrown pairs and receive money off their next purchase.

Added Ms Doodhmal: “As kids typically outgrow shoes every three to four months (specifically in early years), the average child owns 15 pairs of shoes over the course of a year. That’s 60 million pairs of children’s shoes bought in the UK alone!

“It is because of this that we are focusing on using sustainable materials as well as reusing offcuts in order to do our bit to reduce waste caused by the fashion industry.”
