The London Collective

The London Collective

The London Collective is a group of artisanal brands that banded together to make bi-annual trips to the US to present their products and meet their clients. They have been doing this for a few years now and I think that it is probably a very proven and successful model. Because after all, sharing is caring! There are a group of Italian artisans that do the same but they have yet to give themselves a cool moniker as The London Collective has. Let’s take a look at the 4 brands involved.

Gaziano & Girling

The famous British shoemakers that make some of the most exciting and high-quality shoes the world has ever seen are the shoe part of The London Collective. At the show Gaziano & Girling a plethora of samples, take appointments for bespoke, RTW or MTO, and you get a chance to see all of their various collections. If you have been interested in this company but never had the chance to get your feet into a pair, making sure you boot an appointment to get fitted will be a smart move. After that online buying becomes easy-peasy!

Budd Shirtmakers

England’s premier bespoke shirtmaker comes with cloth options galore where you can be measured for some of the world’s finest shirts. The last time they were here, I actually got my first shirt with them. It fits and feels like a dream. While I wish that my bankroll allowed for bespoke shirts only, I can only hope to pick up one a year or so 😉 But for those of you a bit more endowed, I highly recommend splurging and treating yourself to a few Budd shirts. Darren, the head cutter, will take good care of you!

Edward Sexton

One of the men behind the famous Tommy Nutter name, Mr. Edward Sexton, still carries the style that shook the world of suits 40 years back. With super wide lapels, bold patterns, and sharp lines, there is no mistaking an Edward Sexton suit. And that is what makes them great. You know just by looking at one. For those that like a sharp cut, a strong shoulder, and a wide lapel, I definitely suggest giving them a look!

E.B. Meyrowitz

As I do not wear glasses other than when looking at a screen, I cannot say that I know much about this world. But if you do wear glasses and like customization well then you can add a new brand to your list. I can say that when I did visit last time, I had a look and it almost made me wish that I did wear glasses as there were some really cool cuts/designs/frames there.
